Manufacturing Engineer - Grinding

Major Job Responsibilities

· Analyses product designs for best method of manufacturing
· Process development of Grinding, honing and assembly operation
· Evaluates processes for equipments in assigned areas
· Directs design & development of manufacturing equipment for assigned area
· Leads the selection of machines for new projects
· Shall be good in PFMEA, and manage day to day shop floor problem solving and finding root causes
· Responsible for machine runoff and installation in the manufacturing
· Writes and evaluates machine specification for new equipment
· Capacity planning
· Provides technical support for outside vendor development
· Training of the operators for new equipment

Major Job Qualification / Experience / Education
(Required / Preferred)

· Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years experience
· Hands on experience in honing, grinding & assembly processes Thorough knowledge of tooling & manufacturing processes
· knowledge of fixture design & tool design, gd&t and measurements
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Good planning and coordination competencies interpersonal skills
· knowledge of six sigma methodology
